In the 4th minute, Frīdis Smukais reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Howard Stafford. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 7th minute, Knaggel FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rinalds Brencsons fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Frīdis Smukais put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Howard Stafford. 13 minutes into the game, Elliot Stockwin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Brencis Dermans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Brencis Dermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliot Stockwin in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, GAUJA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herberts Mendziņš to maneuver through the defense. After 19 minutes of play, Knaggel FC's Elliot Stockwin made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brencis Dermans was left in no man's land by his defense there! Elliot Stockwin took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brencis Dermans. Brencis Dermans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. 31 minutes into the match, Knaggel FC's Buchanan Starling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brencis Dermans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, Sigmunds Teikmanis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GAUJA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knaggel FC the free kick. Knaggel FC's Belton Gruer got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rinalds Brencsons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, GAUJA's Frīdis Smukais nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Howard Stafford made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. In the 40th minute, Edgars Rupeneits hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danton Balaam hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Al Hanslow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sigmunds Teikmanis kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When Frīdis Smukais fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GAUJA's protests and gave Frīdis Smukais a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Frīdis Smukais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 3-3 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
In the 53rd match minute, Knaggel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Al Hanslow to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frīdis Smukais in the 55th minute of play forced Knaggel FC's goalkeeper Howard Stafford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frīdis Smukais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Howard Stafford having to interfere. The supporters of GAUJA booed when Knaggel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Al Hanslow didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rinalds Brencsons came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the GAUJA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rinalds Brencsons couldn't finish the play. Frīdis Smukais blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Howard Stafford having to make a save. In the 68th minute, Rinalds Brencsons ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Howard Stafford was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. The supporters of Knaggel FC booed when GAUJA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tālavs Nolmanis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brencis Dermans was a little too slow when Belton Gruer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 4-4. After having played for 77 minutes, Rinalds Brencsons managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GAUJA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rinalds Brencsons was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reese Richard's late challenge caught a GAUJA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reese Richard helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Knaggel FC got a freekick which was hit by Reese Richard. After having played for 82 minutes, Frīdis Smukais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GAUJA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frīdis Smukais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Frīdis Smukais's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Howard Stafford was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Frīdis Smukais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rinalds Brencsons kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
