Rolf De Weerdt kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Dark Prophets's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Pimentel came free, but Geronimo Argi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Barreto to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduard Trifan in the 9th minute. Eduard Trifan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduard Trifan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Dark Prophets's Eduard Trifan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 24th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 27th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Argi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eduard Trifan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Portugal's attentive Bruno Bastos managed to snatch the ball when Mai Ping Yi made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. 41 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when You Yuan Chuan came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portugal's Bruno Bastos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mai Ping Yi in the 44 minute of the game. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Trifan in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduard Trifan was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dark Prophets's goalkeeper Geronimo Argi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geronimo Argi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Dark Prophets's Geronimo Argi got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Geronimo Argi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 70th minute of play. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Geronimo Argi made a huge save. Geronimo Argi made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Dark Prophets's Narcis Pomuț was substituted for Dorin Maleș. Portugal's attentive Bruno Bastos managed to snatch the ball when Mai Ping Yi made a throw-in in the 79th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Moussa Sissoko in the 88th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Bruno Bastos. Geronimo Argi made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Felipinho Amorim sent off a good shot on target. Felipinho Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Geronimo Argi made a huge save. When Felipinho Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipinho Amorim couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute, Felipinho Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dark Prophets fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
