The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nino Schurter got the match started through his kick off. Roman Beljean made in the 2nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. The supporters of Italy booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingo Minder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabian Honauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Honauer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Williams Imholz hit a great ball. Fabian Honauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
