The crowd rose to their feet as Göksel Taşdan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flavio Vittori. That made the score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. When Göksel Taşdan came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the 1930 Bafraspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göksel Taşdan couldn't finish the play. Alaaddin Benlioğlu made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Göksel Taşdan sent off a good shot on target. 41 minutes into the game, Göksel Taşdan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Flavio Vittori. Göksel Taşdan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Göksel Taşdan to strike the kick off in the second half. 1930 Bafraspor's Ignacy Sroka managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Deodato Magliozzi in the 52 minute of the game. Italy's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because 1930 Bafraspor had won, even though Italy had held more of the ball.
