The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Linus Svanström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Sachs's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. When Aaron Löfgren fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Average Joes's protests and gave Aaron Löfgren a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Average Joes got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Löfgren. The crowd rose to their feet as Hampus Johansson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Kahn. That made the score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. After 27 minutes, Mattias Finnman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Average Joes and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Average Joes getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Mattias Finnman hit a great ball. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Pål Askestät came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Average Joes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pål Askestät couldn't finish the play. After 34 played minutes Average Joes got a freekick which was hit by Wilhelm Blanck. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Linus Svanström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Albin Holweck scored 1-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Linus Svanström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Frank Sachs made the kick off in the second half. A throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game was made by Joakim Soned with Jo Blanchaert as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 52nd match minute, Average Joes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Löfgren to maneuver through the defense. Linus Svanström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Linus Svanström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. Aaron Löfgren got a throw-in 57 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jo Blanchaert. Janik Vogt kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Hampus Johansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Average Joes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hampus Johansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Linus Svanström managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Germany's Frank Sachs fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Linus Svanström having to make a save. Linus Svanström made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. Germany's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
