The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Pochekanski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Caxias do Sul's Eliézer Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Cox in the 72nd minute of play. Khalid Kennedy came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Benedykt Pankiewicz.
