Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Toni Mauzer got the match started through his kick off. Ilija Skugor made a fantastic save in the 2nd minute, when Eugenio Zarrella sent off a good shot on target. After 8 minutes Croatia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Piedro Marois who took care of the corner kick. The corner led FC Lugano's Fréderic Huerlimann to fire away a dangerous shot which Ilija Skugor despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ilija Skugor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fedor Adler showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. Mikel Jerzinger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Zarrella in the 22nd minute of play. Eugenio Zarrella in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ilija Skugor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Florian Diederich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Ilija Skugor made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedor Adler in the 32nd minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Fedor Adler came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Favian Muff kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ilija Skugor. That made the score 3-0 in the 37 minute of play. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Favian Muff, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Zarrella in the 43rd minute of the match. Godo Gøl came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Croatia's Martin Bosak. But to his dismay, Martin Bosak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1.

Favian Muff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goalkeeper Godo Gøl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dinko Stankovic. 56 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Favian Muff came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikel Jerzinger in the 57th minute of the match. Eugenio Zarrella scored 4-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilija Skugor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ilija Skugor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Favian Muff went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. FC Lugano's Guido Emennegger was substituted for Florian Diederich. FC Lugano made a substitution. Odysseus De Souza replaced Mikel Jerzinger. Eugenio Zarrella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ilija Skugor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 minutes, Damir Pongrac mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Croatia and the FC Lugano players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Croatia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilija Skugor should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute Eugenio Zarrella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Zarrella in the 87th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fedor Adler, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After some careless play in the Croatia defense, Favian Muff kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilija Skugor. FC Lugano's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
