With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Vanderstraeten in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Válter Tasso saved forsal FC from getting behind. When Edward Vanderstraeten came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Belgium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Vanderstraeten couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the match, forsal FC's Attilio Pani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sander Dermaut might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Válter Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sander Dermaut ran back to his position shaking his head. 15 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Lucchetta came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th match minute, forsal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniele Marinacci to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind forsal FC's goalkeeper Válter Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the forsal FC defense, Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Válter Tasso. The forsal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Válter Tasso should have stopped the shot. Edward Vanderstraeten struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Válter Tasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. In the 39th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniele Marinacci during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabio Allemandi hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Nigel Devos hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The forsal FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Belgium were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edward Vanderstraeten to strike the kick off in the second half. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after forsal FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the corner. The corner led Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten to fire away a dangerous shot which Válter Tasso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Válter Tasso made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Válter Tasso. That made the score 0-2 in the 58 minute of play. Válter Tasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 61st minute. Válter Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Vanderstraeten's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Válter Tasso made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edward Vanderstraetens short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Válter Tasso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Válter Tasso made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. After 90 minutes, Patricio Eneto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the forsal FC and the Belgium players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute of the match Edward Vanderstraeten shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Válter Tasso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Válter Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 94th minute of the match. The supporters of forsal FC booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sander Dermaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Lucchetta came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belgium's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
