When Emiliano Berdaitz came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the MORPH fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Berdaitz couldn't finish the play. MORPH's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ambrosio Estevez in the 5th minute. Melquiades Mambru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wang Zhi Jun, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With an all-out effort, MORPH's Harry Mik threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emiliano Berdaitz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 16 minutes into the game, Leiden Spor Kulubu's Marcus van Dongen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Mambru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Melquiades Mambru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Folkert Engelaar in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Emiliano Berdaitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harry Mik was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Harry Mik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steffe Lenaerts in the 69th minute of play. After 71 played minutes MORPH got a freekick which was hit by Guido Lorencio. MORPH's Melquiades Mambru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save MORPH from getting a goal against them. If Folkert Engelaar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leiden Spor Kulubu's goalkeeper Harry Mik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 81 minutes Leiden Spor Kulubu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ambrosio Estevez who took care of the corner kick. In the 89th minute Steffe Lenaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Mik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guido Lorencio's late challenge caught a Leiden Spor Kulubu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guido Lorencio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Leiden Spor Kulubu booed when MORPH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Lorencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Birjaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
