Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denizhan Ünüvar in the 14th minute. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ni Jun Liang, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The supporters of Belgium booed when En avant de guingamp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Tavio didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Dervaux in the 34th minute of play forced En avant de guingamp's goalkeeper Jacek Ptaszek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Yves Dervaux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacek Ptaszek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacek Ptaszek. Jacek Ptaszek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Yves Dervaux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jacek Ptaszek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacek Ptaszek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 43rd minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Denizhan Ünüvar was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Almeida came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Jacek Ptaszek in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denizhan Ünüvar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, En avant de guingamp's Jacek Ptaszek got control of the ball when Yves Dervaux tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Jacek Ptaszek in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denizhan Ünüvar in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 66 minutes into the match, En avant de guingamp's Ni Jun Liang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denizhan Ünüvar in the 71st minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten scored 2-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacek Ptaszek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Carlos Almeida in the 83rd minute of play. Ni Jun Liang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Almeida in the 88th minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Edward Vanderstraeten recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jacek Ptaszek. Edward Vanderstraeten showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Belgium walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
