In the 38th minute of the match, Erlantz Astudillo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Keld Paulsen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 44th match minute, LLOPS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Calvo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikkel Wulff in the 45th minute of play forced LLOPS's goalkeeper Santiago Caldera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Venancio Huarte might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keld Paulsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 70th minute, Xalvador Canyelles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keld Paulsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. When Frances Grau came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the LLOPS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frances Grau couldn't finish the play. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gudesteo Estruch in the 80th minute of play. Chris Nygaard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Santiago Caldera made a huge save. In the 95th minute, Gualterio Calvo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LLOPS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Denmark's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
