The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Stefan Rasiak in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. America Futebol Clube SP's Stefan Rasiak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 82nd minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Jeronimo Rico cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 95 minutes into the game, Gust Ennemans threw the ball into play from the sideline. America Futebol Clube SP's Laércio Amorim quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jeronimo Rico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. America Futebol Clube SP's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
