In the 9th minute Bolli Bolla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho Gonzalez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Hummerfiskarna's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Rossi came free, but Holger Mattsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Gallardeta's Nacho Gonzalez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save La Gallardeta from getting a goal against them. Hummerfiskarna's Holger Mattsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Rossi in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Queirós got free with Nacho Gonzalez in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Holger Mattsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attilio Stefano in the 19th minute of the match. Holger Mattsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paolo Rossi's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Nacho Gonzalez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bolli Bolla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hummerfiskarna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Florin Răducioiu in the 27th minute. The corner led Hummerfiskarna's Hana Banana to fire away a dangerous shot which Nacho Gonzalez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Arnaldo Queirós kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nacho Gonzalez. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Paolo Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Gallardeta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Rossi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nacho Gonzalez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bolli Bolla in the 35th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Queirós got free with Nacho Gonzalez in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the La Gallardeta defense, Bolli Bolla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nacho Gonzalez. The La Gallardeta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nacho Gonzalez should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bolli Bolla to make the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Hummerfiskarna got a corner. La Gallardeta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Florin Răducioiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the La Gallardeta defense, Arnaldo Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nacho Gonzalez. The La Gallardeta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nacho Gonzalez should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Queirós came free, but Nacho Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hana Banana hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Holger Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Haimar in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Primo to maneuver through the defense. La Gallardeta made a substitution. Fernando Dantae replaced Paolo Rossi. Hummerfiskarna's Andrea De Toro was substituted for Arnaldo Queirós. In the 69th minute, Anacleto Primo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 70 minutes, Florin Răducioiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hummerfiskarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florin Răducioiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrea De Toro in the 73rd minute of play forced La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Hummerfiskarna fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Hummerfiskarna's Bolli Bolla looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nacho Gonzalez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Åke Lagerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the game, Hummerfiskarna's Nils-Åke Lagerberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nacho Gonzalez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The corner led Hummerfiskarna's Florin Răducioiu to fire away a dangerous shot which Nacho Gonzalez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Hummerfiskarna's goalkeeper Holger Mattsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Dantae. Nacho Gonzalez came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Hummerfiskarna's Andrea De Toro. But to his dismay, Andrea De Toro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bolli Bolla in the 87th minute of play forced La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Dantae took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Holger Mattsson. Holger Mattsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrea De Toro in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hummerfiskarna's Edwin Söderberg got a free kick in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Haimar in the 94th minute of play forced Hummerfiskarna's goalkeeper Holger Mattsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Bolli Bolla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nacho Gonzalez was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. In the 97th minute of the game, Florin Răducioiu landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Abel Ponciano fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Gallardeta's protests and gave Abel Ponciano a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hummerfiskarna had won after a very even match.
