With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxime Durand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zlatan Messi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Maxime Durand when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 18 minutes, Erli Haaland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kerkyra FC and the France players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Kerkyra FC got a freekick which was hit by Erli Haaland. Alexis Bruneau hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Maxime Durand acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 24th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Argyris Kanetis. With a little luck, Kerkyra FC's Alisson Becker got control of the ball when Frank Peletier tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Kerkyra FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Kerkyra FC's Paraskevas Labrakoglou was substituted for Giannis Verikios.
