In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ainoan ∞'s goalkeeper Süruri Şahbey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Serginho Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavierlada Belon in the 4th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's Guga Trancoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Süruri Şahbey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Serginho Nogueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herbert Zádrapa's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Demis Katsarolidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Süruri Şahbey having to interfere. After a rather tough play, PIAUÍ FC's Víktor Santos got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 19th play minute Baturhan Oytun came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Süruri Şahbey. 1-0. Serginho Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Zádrapa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When PIAUÍ FC's Guga Trancoso in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ainoan ∞'s goalie prevented a goal. Ainoan ∞'s Süruri Şahbey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Ainoan ∞ from getting a goal against them. When Ainoan ∞'s Herbert Zádrapa in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PIAUÍ FC's goalie prevented a goal. Baturhan Oytun took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Süruri Şahbey. Süruri Şahbey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The audience was convinced that Guga Trancoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Süruri Şahbey was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Süruri Şahbey successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 38th minute PIAUÍ FC were awarded a corner. Demis Katsarolidis went to the cornerflag to take it. Mohamed Salah Ben El Abidine Ben Ali charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mohamed Salah Ben El Abidine Ben Ali the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 40 minutes, Demis Katsarolidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PIAUÍ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Demis Katsarolidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was a well-played corner which Alfredão Prestes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Süruri Şahbey made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Guga Trancoso sent off a good shot on target. Herbert Zádrapa's late challenge caught a PIAUÍ FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herbert Zádrapa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Herbert Zádrapa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
57 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Zádrapa came free, but Serginho Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Ainoan ∞ were awarded a corner. Carlinhos Barreto went to the cornerflag to take it. Süruri Şahbey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Süruri Şahbey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga Trancoso in the 59th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, PIAUÍ FC's Guga Trancoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Süruri Şahbey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 65th minute Baturhan Oytun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Süruri Şahbey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute Juninho Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Süruri Şahbey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Süruri Şahbey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víktor Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ainoan ∞'s zone, Guga Trancoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Süruri Şahbey came out of the goal and Guga Trancoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. PIAUÍ FC's Leonel Fero was substituted for Renato Sá. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demis Katsarolidis in the 79th minute of play forced Ainoan ∞'s goalkeeper Süruri Şahbey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mohamed Salah Ben El Abidine Ben Ali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serginho Nogueira having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goalkeeper Serginho Nogueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herbert Zádrapa. After some careless play in the Ainoan ∞ defense, Baturhan Oytun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Süruri Şahbey. The Ainoan ∞ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Süruri Şahbey should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guga Trancoso in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Süruri Şahbey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guga Trancoso in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Süruri Şahbey saved Ainoan ∞ from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ainoan ∞ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for PIAUÍ FC.
