Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Norbert Joeris took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ulf Görtzen hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 3rd minute, Naci Çelik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Reiner was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Şeref Ziver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haldun Han was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 7th minute. Dumlupinar's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marco Reiner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haldun Han in the 13th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Dumlupinar got a freekick which was hit by Naci Çelik. 16 minutes into the match, Dumlupinar's goal looked a bit too open when Dejan Denz came free, but Necip Ulubaş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Necip Ulubaş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marko Frentzen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norbert Joeris took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Necip Ulubaş. Necip Ulubaş dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ahmet Asım Seyfi lost his temper 33 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of Dumlupinar booed when Nienhorst was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kornel Kroth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Şeref Ziver's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Marco Reiner skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hamit Malik struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Marco Reiner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dumlupinar. 44 minutes into the match, Dumlupinar's goal looked a bit too open when Marko Frentzen came free, but Necip Ulubaş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Adil Orcaner fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dumlupinar's protests and gave Adil Orcaner a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Adil Orcaner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dumlupinar's Necip Ulubaş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Joeris in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Şeref Ziver made a kick off. Şeref Ziver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Reiner having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Nienhorst's Niccolo Altmeier got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Dumlupinar's Şeref Ziver in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nienhorst's goalie prevented a goal. In the 62nd minute, Şeref Ziver made a precise shot to the right of Marco Reiner. Nienhorst's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Şeref Ziver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dejan Denz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Necip Ulubaş made a huge save. Dumlupinar's Necip Ulubaş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Dumlupinar from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute Norbert Joeris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necip Ulubaş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Şeref Ziver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marco Reiner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şeref Ziver's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Dejan Denz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Necip Ulubaş made a huge save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when Niccolo Altmeier put in a rough tackle. Marco Reiner went to the wrong direction when Naci Çelik was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Mustafa Haydar Serdaroğlu might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Reiner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mustafa Haydar Serdaroğlu ran back to his position shaking his head. Erkan Kökten charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erkan Kökten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Dejan Denz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dumlupinar's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
