In the 4thth minute of the game Gernot Tünnissen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Galaxy's Donald May was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Real Galaxy's Sherwood Pujols sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stephan Dusend narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Dwight Dotson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dwight Dotson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sherwood Pujols recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiergartenbreite FC's Stephan Dusend proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Tiergartenbreite FC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Gernot Tünnissen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donald May was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Donald May showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernot Tünnissen, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Pierre Kranich shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donald May showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Tiergartenbreite FC booed when Real Galaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sherwood Welsh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donald May stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Klotz's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. When Sherwood Pujols came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Real Galaxy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sherwood Pujols couldn't finish the play. Stephan Dusend showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sherwood Pujols in the 39th minute of the match. Dwight Dotson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan Dusend having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sherwood Pujols stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Dwight Dotson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute of the match Pierre Kranich shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donald May showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Real Galaxy getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Sherwood Welsh hit a great ball. Dwight Dotson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Stephan Dusend tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sherwood Welsh kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Lutger Kraft kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Domenic Ruiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 95 played minutes Real Galaxy got a freekick which was hit by Domenic Ruiz. The long shot by Gary Michalak in the 96th minute really tested Donald May's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
