The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edgard Weterio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Udalaitz Anel went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Bengals getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Aldo Ascencio hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the game, Revolución Joao FC's Aguinaga Casasola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgard Weterio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Edgard Weterio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cuero Ibañez went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 18th minute, Aguinaga Casasola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgard Weterio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Edgard Weterio came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Revolución Joao FC's Youssef Malek. But to his dismay, Youssef Malek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. 41 minutes into the match, Leandro Bartoli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgard Weterio. Bengals's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Bartoli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-12. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Ayon in the 44th minute of play forced Bengals's goalkeeper Edgard Weterio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Bartoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Edgard Weterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Bengals's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Bartoli came free, but Edgard Weterio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute, Aguinaga Casasola made a precise shot to the right of Edgard Weterio. Bengals's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-13. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-13.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Youssef Malek made a kick off. Bengals's Edgard Weterio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Bengals from getting a goal against them. Revolución Joao FC's Leandro Bartoli was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 54th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Edgard Weterio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Udalaitz Anel in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aguinaga Casasola got free with Edgard Weterio in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgard Weterio was a little too slow when Cuero Ibañez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-15. Edgard Weterio made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Aguinaga Casasola sent off a good shot on target. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edgard Weterio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 70th minute Cuero Ibañez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Weterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Aguinaga Casasola took a quick shot and it went in 0-16 without a chance for Edgard Weterio to make any attempt to save it. Edgard Weterio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Omar Ayon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-17 in the 74 minute of play.
