Viriato Moura started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Tomas Danilevičius dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim, 1-0. After having played for 8 minutes, Hubertas Dabkevičius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Mintis Vilnius's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hubertas Dabkevičius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arūnas Pukelis hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Danilevičius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Portugal's Viriato Moura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliver Can made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Danilevičius. The FK Mintis Vilnius fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when FK Mintis Vilnius's Tomas Danilevičius looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tomas Danilevičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Danilevičius's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graciano Coutinho in the 35th minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Oliver Can to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Pimentel in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliver Can saved FK Mintis Vilnius from getting behind. Daniel Pimentel kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Hubertas Dabkevičius fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. FK Mintis Vilnius's Oliver Can played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 43rd minute of play. Tomas Danilevičius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isreal Rivas hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After 49 played minutes, Portugal's Felipe Barreto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oliver Can came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Portugal reached it. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Danilevičius was the one to do the kick off. Aldas Galkus struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Mintis Vilnius. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Guterres in the 57th minute of play. Daniel Pimentel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Oliver Can made a huge save. In the 61st match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Miranda to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Daniel Pimentel hit a great ball. Tomas Danilevičius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Danilevičius, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubertas Dabkevičius in the 94th minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Pimentel to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Danilevičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Portugal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
