Mathijn Doctor's late challenge caught a FC Olad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Wim Wilmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Botond Détári was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 18th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Botond Détári saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Olad defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Botond Détári. The FC Olad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Botond Détári should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Mathijn Doctor hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lóránt Vörös in the 24th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute David Eikelkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Botond Détári saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Árpád Kardos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. The supporters of FC Olad booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wim Wilmes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Botond Détári showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 44th minute of the match.

51 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Lóránt Vörös came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aladár Takács, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lóránt Vörös in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Árpád Kardos came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Botond Détári having to interfere. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Botond Détári having to interfere. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 78th minute. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Olad's Botond Détári did a great save. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aladár Takács, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Lóránt Vörös scored 2-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
