With his leg Maxime Durand managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Rathmore Lime Tree's Yves Robinet fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. France's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Yves Robinet scored to the left of an out of position Maxime Durand, making the score, 1-0. In the 21st minute Gilbert Cosson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Loth, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Toufik Loir hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Erwin Billault scored 2-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maxime Durand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 45 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Frank Peletier. France's Frank Peletier got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yves Robinet to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Remy Dupuy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. France's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remy Dupuy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Camille Baume had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxence Durand to maneuver through the defense. Brandon Pardon made in the 64th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Toufik Loir however managed to control. With a little luck, Rathmore Lime Tree's Alix Geoffray got control of the ball when Frank Peletier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilbert Cosson charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilbert Cosson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Rathmore Lime Tree's Gilbert Cosson got a free kick in the 66th minute. Alix Geoffray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camille Baume, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute of the match, Frank Peletier got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alix Geoffray was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erwin Billault, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Maxime Durand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yves Robinet went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Alexis Bruneau hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Robinet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Rathmore Lime Tree players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
