Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Velinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 6 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Georgi Velinov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Refik Ülgü's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Georgi Velinov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Laurens Vandamme. 25 minutes into the match, FC CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Georgi Velinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Georgi Velinov was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Téo Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC CSKA's Tanel Kiik got a free kick in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Refik Ülgü came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes Belgium's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Georgi Dimitrov who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to FC CSKA's Marc Hainl getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 42nd minute, Ahmet Refik Ülgü made a precise shot to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Tenyo Fakirov hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

Edward Vanderstraeten received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Georgi Velinov came out and tried to block the shot, but Edward Vanderstraeten slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 59th minute. Ahmet Refik Ülgü's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Georgi Velinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC CSKA's Ruslan Dzhalev was substituted for Ahmet Refik Ülgü. Hans Danielsson kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Georgi Velinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Georgi Velinov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. 78 minutes into the match, Ruslan Dzhalev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruslan Dzhalev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marc Hainl during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st match minute, FC CSKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Hainl to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Georgi Velinov in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guillaume Bonte made in the 85th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Yves Dervaux immediately put the ball in play. FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 87th minute of play. Georgi Velinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. FC CSKA's attentive Tenyo Fakirov managed to snatch the ball when Simon Sabbe made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game. Despite being the better team, Belgium failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
