When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Benedicto Naelio sped through Liberland's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vito Rezende. Venancio Ascencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liberland's Vito Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Naelio in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Benedicto Naelio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Vito Rezende was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Liberland defense, Benedicto Naelio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vito Rezende. The Liberland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vito Rezende should have stopped the shot. When Argentina's Benedicto Naelio in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liberland's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Benedicto Naelio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vito Rezende was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Naelio in the 41st minute of play forced Liberland's goalkeeper Vito Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacinto Rosio to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Argentina's Benedicto Naelio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vito Rezende narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Benedicto Naelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paolo-César Maldini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Rezende having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Benedicto Naelio notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Liberland's Vito Rezende. Vito Rezende was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benedicto Naelio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vito Rezende read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Fausto Vigil hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Argentina made a substitution. Vicente Nevada replaced Benedicto Naelio. The supporters of Argentina booed when Liberland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Vigil didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Liberland's goal looked a bit too open when Loco Durazno came free, but Vito Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Loco Durazno in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vito Rezende prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 72 minutes of play, Argentina's Loco Durazno made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vito Rezende was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Arotza in the 75th minute of play forced Liberland's goalkeeper Vito Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Argentina's Amado Arotza in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liberland's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Durazno in the 78th minute of play forced Liberland's goalkeeper Vito Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79th play minutes Amado Arotza shot 7-1, a short shot which went by Vito Rezende and just under the crossbar into goal. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Liberland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Jobo was slow to take the kick. During this time Argentina's players had a chance to rest. Argentina's Ceferino Nalo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vito Rezende in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Argentina were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Liberland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Samuel Jobo took the corner. In the 87th minute Vicente Nevada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liberland's goalkeeper Vito Rezende, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Jobo in the 91st minute of play forced Liberland's goalkeeper Vito Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loco Durazno scored 8-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vito Rezende, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 98 minutes had been played when some careless play by Liberland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Jobo was slow to take the kick. During this time Argentina's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Argentina's Gregorio Urtsin to fire away a dangerous shot which Vito Rezende despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Argentina had played much better football throughout.
