Teobaldo Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Katona Janos got a free kick in the 6th minute. A hard shot 8 in the game by Ildefonso Erlantz from a close distance when the talented Fodor Daniel managed to make a qualified save. Hungary's players were relieved. In the 9th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vörös Henrik to maneuver through the defense. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Diego Laurentzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takacs Tibor in the 23rd minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Diego Laurentzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Oscar Mederi hit a great ball. Hungary's Major Barna got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diego Laurentzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Racing Club's Diego Laurentzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 32nd minute of play. Diego Laurentzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Major Barna went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 37th minute, Marcial Marin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fodor Daniel. The goal made the score 1-2. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eleuterio Malvin in the 40th minute. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Laurentzi having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Antal Valentin. Fodor Daniel had great luck who in the 47thth minute grab hold of the ball when Marcial Marin from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
After 52 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Emenon. 56 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Erlantz came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Teobaldo Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Erlantz, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Hegedus Henrik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teobaldo Santos during the 62nd minute. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. After 79 minutes Racing Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. After 80 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Szekeres Tamas. Diego Laurentzi was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Antal Valentin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antal Valentin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Racing Club's Diego Laurentzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the game, Racing Club's Ildefonso Erlantz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fodor Daniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Hungary played a much better game than Racing Club and deserved their victory. The Racing Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
