Mira Pene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Fernandez in the 12th minute of the match. With his leg Gordon Zamora managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Paso FC's Tomas Lucero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Ismael Licerio sped through Paso FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mira Pene. After 46 played minutes Paso FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Sotelo. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oktay Eğriöz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Paso FC's zone, Simon Francis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mira Pene came out of the goal and Simon Francis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Delmiro Fernandez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mira Pene having to make a save. The supporters of Paso FC booed when MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Fix didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's goalkeeper Gordon Zamora, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th minute Denis Rivas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordon Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
