A nice corner shot did that David Barbier got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vicente Eyague quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, France's Maxime Durand got control of the ball when Julio Gaxan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tigre's Adolfo Santio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Maxime Durand in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Maxime Durand successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Frank Peletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Geofredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Geofredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Robert Chapuis. The supporters of Tigre booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quentin Beaux didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a left leg Maxime Durand saved France from getting behind. Maxence Durand kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When Adolfo Santio came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Tigre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Santio couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Robert Chapuis. Adolfo Santio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maxime Durand. France's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
