Diogo Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenny Clocheret, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Alexandrie CF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten was slow to take the kick. During this time Belgium's players had a chance to rest. Francisco Conceicão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Francisco Conceicão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Claes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Diogo Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Alexandrie CF booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Floris Claeys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandrie CF's Francisco Conceicão got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edward Vanderstraeten to make the kick off. Diogo Costa came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten. But to his dismay, Edward Vanderstraeten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Francisco Conceicão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran over to the corner to take the kick. Siebe Michiels was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Alexandrie CF made a substitution. Wang Guang Chuan replaced Silvestre Perrando. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Alexandrie CF's goalie and right to Lenny Clocheret. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Alexandrie CF's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Diogo Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 70th minute of play. Diogo Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Vanderstraeten's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute Belgium were awarded a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten to a score. 1-4 in the 80th minute. Alexandrie CF made a substitution. Mateus Uribe replaced Eduardo Cossa. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nigel Devos during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Alexandrie CF booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nigel Devos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Francisco Conceicão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandrie CF made a substitution. André Franco replaced Francisco Conceicão. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Franco in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Belgium had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
