If David Aranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Anıl Öveç in the 28th minute of play. Dick Vedholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adria Bielsa, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Kent Lindberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gabriel Ascaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kent Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hockeysnubbarnas BK made a substitution. Kent Kilberg replaced Erik Ek. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 55th minute, Omar Toledo made a precise shot to the right of Dick Vedholm. Hockeysnubbarnas BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. David Aranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dick Vedholm having to interfere. After 70 minutes Spain's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sven Dala who took care of the corner kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicklas Barck in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Ascaso saved Spain from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Julian Goyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute Nicklas Barck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carles Cherro got free with Dick Vedholm in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80thth minute of the game Adria Bielsa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Dick Vedholm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Spain defense, Kent Kilberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Ascaso. The Spain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Ascaso should have stopped the shot. Spain made a substitution. Sergio Ruiz replaced Adria Bielsa. Spain made a substitution. Pau Herrero replaced David Aranda. With a little luck, Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Dick Vedholm got control of the ball when Carles Cherro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Hockeysnubbarnas BK support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
