The audience thought a goal was coming when Orti Sánchez got free with Khalid Kennedy in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the match, England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orti Sánchez. Issac Dawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calisto Abril couldn't finish the play. Fillos de Breogán's Xesus Galaiko was substituted for Calisto Abril. Leighton Davies hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Fillos de Breogán's Orti Sánchez in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, Xoan Galaiko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
