The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Pires was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Fernandão Maia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Koehler in the 70th minute of play forced PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalkeeper Afonso Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dida Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Fernandão Maia made a huge save. Belmiro Koehler charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Belmiro Koehler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
