With a little luck, Reko-Recko 03™'s Chico Dracena got control of the ball when Zé Carlos da Cunha tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Erivaldo Esteves came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Reko-Recko 03™ fans jumped to their feet. The Milanis E.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 46 minutes into the match, Milanis E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Hermes came free, but Fernandão Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Milanis E.C. defense, Hernani Hermes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernandão Maia. The Milanis E.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernandão Maia should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 53 minutes, Roberto Mota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reko-Recko 03™ and the Milanis E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Reko-Recko 03™'s Roberto Mota got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Chaves in the 61st minute of play forced Reko-Recko 03™'s goalkeeper Chico Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Zé Carlos da Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chico Dracena. Reko-Recko 03™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Carlos da Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2.
