Elói Medeiros came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Anselmo Negri. But to his dismay, Anselmo Negri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 10 minutes, Miguel Lopez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galo na Veia FC™ and the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 11 played minutes Galo na Veia FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Lopez. 22 minutes into the game, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Anselmo Negri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elói Medeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Vinícius Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Scarpa in the 25th minute of the match. Miguel Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Galo na Veia FC™'s Elói Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Negri in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Galo na Veia FC™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Lopez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernard Scarpa in the 34th minute of play forced Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Vinícius Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinand Feuš hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Samuca Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the game, Ferdinand Feuš was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galo na Veia FC™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro Esporte Clube the free kick. A collision led to Galo na Veia FC™ getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ferdinand Feuš hit a great ball. After 46 played minutes Galo na Veia FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Nacho Saraiva. After a rather tough play, Galo na Veia FC™'s Miguel Lopez got a free kick in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anselmo Negri to make the kick off. In the 65th minute, Carlos Eduardo de Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galo na Veia FC™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Anselmo Negri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elói Medeiros. That made the score 3-3 in the 70 minute of play. In the 74th minute, Ferdinand Feuš ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vinícius Macedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. Vinícius Macedo came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Galo na Veia FC™'s Samuca Arruda. But to his dismay, Samuca Arruda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. The supporters of Galo na Veia FC™ booed when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute of the match Carlos Eduardo de Amaral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vinícius Macedo skillfully saved the ball. In the 86th match minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho Linhares to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Ian Abreu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elói Medeiros. The goal made the score 5-4. Vinícius Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Feuš, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodriguinho Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Luiz Paulo Fantini in the 98th minute really tested Elói Medeiros's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
