After 4 minutes, Ian Brasil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Uai MzC™ and the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ian Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Anselmo Negri in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting Uai MzC™'s goalie prevented a goal. After 11 played minutes Sporting Uai MzC™ got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Queirós. With a little luck, Sporting Uai MzC™'s Basílio Leal got control of the ball when Anselmo Negri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Basílio Leal came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Luiz Paulo Fantini. But to his dismay, Luiz Paulo Fantini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Basílio Leal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Negri in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Uai MzC™'s zone, Luiz Paulo Fantini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basílio Leal came out of the goal and Luiz Paulo Fantini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sporting Uai MzC™'s Basílio Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Negri in the 25th minute of play. Sporting Uai MzC™'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Luiz Paulo Fantini scored to the left of an out of position Basílio Leal, making the score, 2-0. Vladimir Romero's late challenge caught a Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimir Romero helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Sporting Uai MzC™ got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Romero. Aníbal Recife hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, Waldemar Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Prestes came free, but Vinícius Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo Fantini in the 51st minute of play forced Sporting Uai MzC™'s goalkeeper Basílio Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinícius Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Sá in the 52nd minute of play. Basílio Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basílio Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Negri in the 55th minute of the match. After 57 played minutes Sporting Uai MzC™ got a freekick which was hit by Ian Brasil. Ian Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Aníbal Recife tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute Renatinho Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 71 minutes on the clock, Rogério Teixeira commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 70 minutes into the game, one of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube:s Vinícius Macedo showed great skill when he stopped Dieguinho Dante:s penalty. After 83 played minutes Sporting Uai MzC™ got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Queirós. In the 84th minute, Ian Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basílio Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renatinho Linhares in the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Dieguinho Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the game, Teodoro Prestes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Uai MzC™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro Esporte Clube the free kick. In the 96th match minute, Sporting Uai MzC™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Prestes to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube had played much better football throughout.
