Elivélton Koehler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ferdinand Feuš went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Elói Medeiros was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jarbas Vinhas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 16 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Montesclarense E.C.'s Caco Rossi got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Elivélton Koehler came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Galo na Veia FC™'s Bernard Scarpa. But to his dismay, Bernard Scarpa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. If Ferdinand Feuš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caco Rossi during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Galo na Veia FC™ booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Bernard Scarpa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elivélton Koehler. Montesclarense E.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernard Scarpa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Ferdinand Feuš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Koehler having to interfere. A collision led to Montesclarense E.C. getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Luiz Cavalcante hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Bernard Scarpa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galo na Veia FC™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bernard Scarpa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elivélton Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elivélton Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Feuš, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Bernard Scarpa put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Elivélton Koehler. In the 47th match minute, Galo na Veia FC™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernard Scarpa was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Elivélton Koehler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernard Scarpa. Montesclarense E.C.'s Elivélton Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Scarpa in the 55th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Caco Rossi. A hard shot 65 in the game by Bernard Scarpa from a close distance when the talented Elivélton Koehler managed to make a qualified save. Montesclarense E.C.'s players were relieved. With an all-out effort, Galo na Veia FC™'s Elivélton Koehler threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernard Scarpa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Montesclarense E.C.'s Baltazar Dantas got a free kick in the 76th minute. Galo na Veia FC™'s Ferdinand Feuš got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rogério de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Elói Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Rossi in the 85th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernard Scarpa in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elivélton Koehler saved Montesclarense E.C. from getting behind. Elivélton Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Feuš, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes of play, Galo na Veia FC™'s Bernard Scarpa made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elivélton Koehler was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Galo na Veia FC™'s Bernard Scarpa in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Montesclarense E.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Galo na Veia FC™ played a much better game than Montesclarense E.C. and deserved their victory. The Montesclarense E.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
