Glauco Severo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Vinícius Macedo made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Goth Cloudy Experience's Ulysses Dracena slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vinícius Macedo. That made the score 1-0 after 36 minutes of play. In the 40thth minute of the game Luiz Paulo Fantini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goth Cloudy Experience's Genílson Porto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Adelino Simão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goth Cloudy Experience the free kick. A collision led to Cruzeiro Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Adelino Simão hit a great ball. Jacinto Marinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vinícius Macedo. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Adelino Almeida hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Aníbal Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Aníbal Recife was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genílson Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Goth Cloudy Experience booed when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th match minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Simão to maneuver through the defense.
