Gabriel Delassus was slow to take the kick. During this time PEÇONHENTO FC MG's players had a chance to rest. Deivid Félix's late challenge caught a New England Minas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Deivid Félix helped the player get up and apologised. With his leg Barra Gol managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when New England Minas's Tony Pacheco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tio Lio got free with Barra Gol in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barra Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Nordmark got free with Barra Gol in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tony Pacheco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Tarcisio Luz fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Barra Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tio Lio in the 65th minute of play. After 68 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Lalo Rosas. Tio Lio took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barra Gol. Barra Gol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. PEÇONHENTO FC MG made a substitution. Fabiano Munhoz replaced Tony Tavares. Gabriel Delassus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Jeremy Nicholas made a huge save. New England Minas's Glen Conklin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Deivid Félix in the 78 minute of the game. After some careless play in the PEÇONHENTO FC MG defense, Tio Lio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barra Gol. The PEÇONHENTO FC MG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barra Gol should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute, Gabriel Delassus made a precise shot to the right of Jeremy Nicholas. New England Minas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Deivid Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. A collision led to PEÇONHENTO FC MG getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Leonel Pinheiro hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, New England Minas's Glen Conklin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Barra Gol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Barra Gol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tio Lio, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, Deivid Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. New England Minas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
