João Augusto Simões stood somewhat misplaced when Tarcisio Luz came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 3 minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Delassus got free with João Augusto Simões in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the match, Gabriel Delassus notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Milanis E.C.'s João Augusto Simões. João Augusto Simões was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Laurgain Ruiz scored 2-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Barra Gol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Milanis E.C.'s João Augusto Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Vigil in the 14th minute of play. João Augusto Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Vigil in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Milanis E.C.'s goalkeeper João Augusto Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Delassus. João Augusto Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Vigil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milanis E.C.'s João Augusto Simões proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Milanis E.C. from getting a goal against them. Emanuel Vigil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but João Augusto Simões made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Vigil in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Augusto Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute Nelsinho Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Augusto Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milanis E.C.'s João Augusto Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Vigil in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Vigil in the 38th minute of play forced Milanis E.C.'s goalkeeper João Augusto Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Augusto Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Vigil in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Emanuel Vigil ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Augusto Simões. João Augusto Simões yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Gabriel Delassus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but João Augusto Simões made a huge save. With 46 minutes on the clock, Hélio Andrade commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to PEÇONHENTO FC MG getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Hélio Andrade hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Zé Tola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milanis E.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Tola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barra Gol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laurgain Ruiz made a kick off. Belmiro Koehler hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. João Augusto Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelsinho Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Gabriel Delassus took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Augusto Simões. João Augusto Simões dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Milanis E.C.'s Zé Tola got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Milanis E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Faria came free, but João Augusto Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PEÇONHENTO FC MG made a substitution. Peter Paul Crouch replaced Emanuel Vigil. João Augusto Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Paul Crouch's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. João Augusto Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho Faria in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Faria in the 74th minute of play forced Milanis E.C.'s goalkeeper João Augusto Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Augusto Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nelsinho Faria went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Fabiano Munhoz was substituted for Tony Tavares. In the 77th minute, Nelsinho Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Augusto Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Peter Paul Crouch put it in 7-1 from a short distance just to the right of João Augusto Simões. In the 85th minute, Gabriel Delassus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Augusto Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. João Augusto Simões came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Gabriel Delassus. But to his dismay, Gabriel Delassus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. Gabriel Delassus scored 10-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Augusto Simões, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 96 minutes into the match, Gabriel Delassus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Augusto Simões. Milanis E.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Delassus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-1. When the referee ended the match the PEÇONHENTO FC MG players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
