Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Aparecido in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu Gøth in the 7th minute of play forced Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Arthur Bufi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 minutes of play, Goth Cloudy Experience's Tadeu Gøth made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arthur Bufi was left in no man's land by his defense there! 9 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luís Araújo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gong Fan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Tadeu Gøth fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goth Cloudy Experience's protests and gave Tadeu Gøth a yellow card for diving instead. Gino Seco was slow to take the kick. During this time Goth Cloudy Experience's players had a chance to rest. Gino Seco made a great header on Goth Cloudy Experience's corner, it was just that Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi managed to reach the ball for a save. The coaching staff of Goth Cloudy Experience protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Samuel Duarte had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 47th minute, Samuel Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 49th minute of the match Wanderson Bezerra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnaldo Couto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tadeu Gøth was the one to do the kick off. Arthur Bufi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Acácio Leal.
