Demetrio Cannata started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Faria in the 7th minute of play forced EoDu Uai Sôccer's goalkeeper José-Luis Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Barra Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demetrio Cannata in the 10th minute of play. Jardel Cabezon struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Barra Gol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EoDu Uai Sôccer. Demetrio Cannata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute Jardel Cabezon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barra Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Demetrio Cannata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goal looked a bit too open when Demetrio Cannata came free, but Barra Gol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, EoDu Uai Sôccer's Jardel Cabezon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barra Gol was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jardel Cabezon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's José-Luis Chilavert threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nelsinho Faria, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 41st minute, Demetrio Cannata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Deivid Félix got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Vigil was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Nelsinho Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José-Luis Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th match minute, PEÇONHENTO FC MG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarcisio Luz to maneuver through the defense. Edmílson Severo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Barra Gol. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to PEÇONHENTO FC MG getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Leonel Pinheiro hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Jardel Cabezon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barra Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demetrio Cannata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Barra Gol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 played minutes PEÇONHENTO FC MG got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Faria. PEÇONHENTO FC MG made a substitution. Peter Paul Crouch replaced Emanuel Vigil. The corner ended in Gabriel Delassus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but EoDu Uai Sôccer's José-Luis Chilavert did a great save. Barra Gol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Chabier, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Barra Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demetrio Cannata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by PEÇONHENTO FC MG's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jardel Cabezon was slow to take the kick. During this time EoDu Uai Sôccer's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jardel Cabezon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Barra Gol quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. EoDu Uai Sôccer's José-Luis Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Delassus in the 87th minute of play. The EoDu Uai Sôccer players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented PEÇONHENTO FC MG from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
