In the 16th minute Edgardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarbas Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Silva in the 19th minute of play. Inácio Figueiredo came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jeremy Nicholas could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Figueiredo in the 24th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Edgardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When New England Minas's Edgardo Silva in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jarbas Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarbas Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Silva in the 59th minute of play. Jarbas Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Silva in the 60th minute of the match. New England Minas's Hipolito Emenon was substituted for Jörgen Frohm. New England Minas made a substitution. Tio Lio replaced Edgardo Silva. New England Minas were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after S S Palestra Italia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Glen Conklin took the corner. The corner ended in Glen Conklin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes did a great save. Jarbas Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tio Lio in the 65th minute of the match. When Inácio Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the S S Palestra Italia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the game, Tio Lio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jarbas Guedes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice moves Tony Pacheco could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Jarbas Guedes however easily saved by the left post. In the 74th minute, Tio Lio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarbas Guedes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Tio Lio succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 77th playminute. Jarbas Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tio Lio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. New England Minas's Tio Lio got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inácio Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Jeremy Nicholas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S S Palestra Italia. S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save S S Palestra Italia from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tio Lio in the 93rd minute of play forced S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Jarbas Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Tony Pacheco sped through S S Palestra Italia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jarbas Guedes. The S S Palestra Italia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. New England Minas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
