The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jarbas Guedes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anthimos Tsoulkas went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 6 minutes into the game, Anthimos Tsoulkas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jarbas Guedes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Doni Prado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inácio Figueiredo in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Milanis E.C.'s goalkeeper Doni Prado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inácio Figueiredo. After some careless play in the S S Palestra Italia defense, Anthimos Tsoulkas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarbas Guedes. The S S Palestra Italia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarbas Guedes should have stopped the shot. Doni Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Figueiredo in the 27th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafinha Custódio during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes Milanis E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rafinha Custódio. 31 minutes into the match, S S Palestra Italia's goal looked a bit too open when Anthimos Tsoulkas came free, but Jarbas Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Bruninho Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarbas Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthimos Tsoulkas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inácio Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Doni Prado made a huge save. The supporters of S S Palestra Italia booed when Milanis E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doni Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Moura in the 38th minute of play. Gilvan Seco got a throw-in 40 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Josué de Senna. Doni Prado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Milanis E.C.'s Bruninho Brito came free and shot a quick shot against goal 95 minutes in the game, fortunately Jarbas Guedes had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Milanis E.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
