It was a penalty for Hungary! Hungary:s Fodor Daniel showed great skill when he stopped Fausto Pinti:s penalty. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortunato Borromeo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 9th minute Fausto Pinti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Fausto Pinti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damiano Battisti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The corner led Hungary's Takacs Tibor to fire away a dangerous shot which Damiano Battisti despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonello Tofani kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Battisti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Eurospeed Asti's goalie and right to Takacs Tibor. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Eurospeed Asti's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, Eurospeed Asti's Davide Ubriaco got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th match minute, Eurospeed Asti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonello Tofani to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Pinti to make the kick off. Major Barna might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damiano Battisti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Major Barna ran back to his position shaking his head. Hungary were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
