In the 9th minute of the game Memet Droga made a throw-in which Oihan Negro played forward. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dadá Maravilha in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th minute Dadá Maravilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Caetano Moreira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Real Llull de Reus's Ignacio Parra. Ignacio Parra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 18th minute of play forced Real Llull de Reus's goalkeeper Ignacio Parra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal's Felipe Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caetano Moreira scored 1-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ignacio Parra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the game, Werner Beeckmans threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Felipe Barreto quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Dadá Maravilha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Dadá Maravilha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Maravilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Parra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pimentel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Dadá Maravilha tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Dadá Maravilha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilson Amorim. The goal made the score 2-2. 48 minutes into the match, Real Llull de Reus's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Ignacio Parra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. When Dadá Maravilha came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Real Llull de Reus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dadá Maravilha couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, Real Llull de Reus's Dadá Maravilha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Real Llull de Reus's Tino Sobrado was substituted for Dadá Maravilha. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Portugal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Everardo Hartz was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Llull de Reus's players had a chance to rest. 72 minutes into the match, Real Llull de Reus's Julen Casals sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bartolomeu Dias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Ignacio Parra made a huge save. In the 79th minute, Tino Sobrado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Llull de Reus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 81 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Tino Sobrado came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacio Parra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 83rd minute of play. Robert Bednarek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. The throw-in from Paco Macho in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Raul Caetano. Ignacio Parra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolomeu Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tino Sobrado struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Llull de Reus. Everardo Hartz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 96th minute of play forced Real Llull de Reus's goalkeeper Ignacio Parra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
