Durval Aparecido who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Arnout Reekers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Durval Aparecido blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnout Reekers having to make a save. In the 22nd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Durval Aparecido got free with Arnout Reekers in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Les Presidents FC's Kuido Undusk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 28th minute of play. After 32 played minutes, Les Presidents FC's Amadeo Guillelme shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnout Reekers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Les Presidents FC reached it. 38 minutes into the match, Les Presidents FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Kuido Undusk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kuido Undusk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 41st minute of play. Durval Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Salvador Malheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Les Presidents FC's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kuido Undusk came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durval Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Lars Meesters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Wim Wilmes took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Kuido Undusk to make any attempt to save it. Durval Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 76th minute of play forced Les Presidents FC's goalkeeper Kuido Undusk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermelando Coello in the 80th minute of play. Netherlands's David Eikelkamp was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 83rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 88th minute, Lars Meesters made a precise shot to the right of Kuido Undusk. Les Presidents FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4.
