Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Viriato Moura started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Viriato Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Alex Knopper fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's protests and gave Alex Knopper a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Julias Rascals Apeldoorn getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Alex Knopper hit a great ball. Ralph Roeles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 14th minute of play. Viriato Moura took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ralph Roeles. Ralph Roeles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 22nd minute of the match, Jan de Vlieger tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilson Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. At last the ball reached Jan de Vlieger at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Portugal. 2-2. Bengt Petersson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilson Amorim. Portugal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kurt van der Laan scored 3-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Otto Schiphouwer hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When Otto Schiphouwer got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Julias Rascals Apeldoorn. Johan Saveneij kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's zone, Felipe Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ralph Roeles came out of the goal and Felipe Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Otto Schiphouwer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Knopper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but Ralph Roeles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

52 minutes into the match, Kurt van der Laan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kurt van der Laan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Felipe Barreto came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ralph Roeles could save by the left post. Portugal were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Felipe Barreto took the corner. Graciano Coutinho made a great header on Portugal's corner, it was just that Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles managed to reach the ball for a save. A hard shot 60 in the game by Felipe Barreto from a close distance when the talented Ralph Roeles managed to make a qualified save. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's players were relieved. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt van der Laan in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt van der Laan in the 63rd minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Julias Rascals Apeldoorn from getting a goal against them. It was a well-played corner which Felipinho Amorim managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 79 minutes into the match, Daniel Pimentel notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles. Ralph Roeles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 83 minutes into the game, Felipinho Amorim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-5. Ralph Roeles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ralph Roeles was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bartolomeu Dias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-6 in the 96 minute of play. The Portugal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
