Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damián Åkerman in the 33rd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Damián Åkerman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ilija Skugor, 7-0. Damián Åkerman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ilija Skugor came out and tried to block the shot, but Damián Åkerman slotted it home off the left post making it 8-0 in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 8-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Croatia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! Ilija Skugor came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by INTER de Córdoba's Damián Åkerman. But to his dismay, Damián Åkerman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. After 72 minutes, Damir Pongrac mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Croatia and the INTER de Córdoba players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of INTER de Córdoba booed when Croatia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damir Pongrac didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Pasqual in the 76th minute of play. After 88 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Damir Pongrac. In the 98th minute, Cipriano Pasqual made a precise shot to the right of Ilija Skugor. Croatia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 12-0. INTER de Córdoba walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
