Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Tiburcio Marques sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ulryk Mosiniak hit a great ball. Felipe Barreto didn't quite understand what happened when in the 12 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Blas Colas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Tiburcio Marques made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Blas Colas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 23rd minute of play. Blas Colas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caetano Moreira went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Marques in the 29th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal's Bruno Bastos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Javier Mazuste, made in the 41st minute of the game. 46 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipe Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blas Colas narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiburcio Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Daniel Pimentel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. After 86 minutes of play, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Jorge Joachim made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felipinho Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Blas Colas made a huge save. 94 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Joachim came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Portugal for a fine match.
