Izydor Roman took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Gustaaf Groeneveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon Högberg having to make a save. Simon Högberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 26th minute of the match. Simon Högberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Izydor Roman came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arnout Reekers could save by the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 45 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Izydor Roman came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Andre Xiong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, one of Wicher Wilchwy Come Back:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wicher Wilchwy Come Back. Simon Högberg had in the 52ndth minute some difficulties stopping Gijsbert ter Kruimer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomil Nakonieczny in the 56th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Izydor Roman took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Wicher Wilchwy Come Back's Horia Răzvan was substituted for Radomil Nakonieczny. Wicher Wilchwy Come Back's Leszek Ankiewicz was substituted for Czeslaw Dubilas. After a defensive mix-up in Wicher Wilchwy Come Back's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Högberg came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Wicher Wilchwy Come Back was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leszek Ankiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Simon Högberg to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomasz Dziura in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wicher Wilchwy Come Back's Tomasz Dziura was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lars Meesters hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Răzvan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Högberg made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when David Eikelkamp sent off a good shot on target. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 97th minute. Wicher Wilchwy Come Back's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
