After 7 minutes of play, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicasio Abad was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Italy getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Sostene Vitulli hit a great ball. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Ilazki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Sigfrido Auletta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Abad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Baldomero Ilazki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Vittori was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Siricio Liotta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Abad having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Blomkvist got free with Flavio Vittori in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flavio Vittori was a little too slow when Baldomero Ilazki got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-1. Nicasio Abad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Baldomero Ilazki got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Abad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berkan Tufan made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. Italy's Eliseo Cutri quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Berkan Tufan, made in the 39th minute of the game. Nicasio Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zaccheo Andolina took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicasio Abad. Nicasio Abad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zaccheo Andolina to strike the kick off in the second half. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kosmas Banasopoulos in the 56th minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Nicasio Abad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Despite this Flavio Vittori quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 78 minutes into the match, Pietro Salles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pietro Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 82 minutes into the match, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goal looked a bit too open when Gianpaolo Mascari came free, but Nicasio Abad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. In the 84th minute of the match Italy got a corner. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Siricio Liotta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Guiscardo Davide made a great header on Italy's corner, it was just that Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Nicasio Abad managed to reach the ball for a save.
