Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmund Kojder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. A beautiful save bye Rega Merida CF's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nistor Sârban stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nistor Sârban couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Edmund Kojder successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 94 minutes into the game, Rega Merida CF's Nistor Sârban nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0.
